These M&M blondies are soft and chewy, but the crispy M&Ms provide a surprising crunchy texture in every bite, too. These are delicious served alone or with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream!

In case you haven’t heard, M&M’s® Crispy are back! We first tried them about a month ago when we bought them for our family movie night at home. We absolutely loved them, so when I decided to make blondies for our dessert this weekend, I knew that they’d be the perfect addition.

M&M Blondies Made with Crispy M&Ms

I popped into CVS to pick up a few things, including several bags of these yummy little things. I grabbed a few large bags from the candy aisle to use for baking.

And I knew that the M&M’s® Crispy candies would never make it into the blondies if I didn’t get my two favorite guys (the hubby and kiddo) bags of their own. Luckily, there were some snack-sized bags at checkout, so they were able to satisfy their sugar cravings while I was able to keep my candy stash for baking.

As you can see, he was a happy camper!

After the guys were settled in with their snacks and movie, I went to the kitchen to whip up these blondies. The base recipe is our go-to recipe for blondies, and it’s so versatile because you can toss in a cup of your favorite candies to change up the flavor whenever you like.

How to Make Crispy M&M Blondies

First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees and get your ingredients ready. You’ll need a stick of melted butter, 1 cup of dark brown sugar, 1 large egg, 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract, 1 cup of self-rising flour, 1 cup of M&M’s® Crispy and a pinch or two of kosher salt.

Mix the butter and brown sugar in a large bowl with a whisk. Then, add the egg and vanilla. Next, begin adding the flour. I like to add about one-third at a time, mixing the flour until it’s incorporated into the sugar-butter mixture.

As you can see, the batter will be really thick. At that point, you’re ready to toss in about a cup of M&M’s® Crispy, stirring just enough to mix them in. When you get ready to pour the batter into a greased 8×8 glass dish, just scoop and spread! It’s too thick to pour.

Sprinkle a pinch or two of kosher salt over the top of your M&M blondies for a little sweet-salty taste when it hits your tongue. You’ll thank me later.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

They go into the oven looking like this…

And they come out looking like this. Sooooo yummy!

And I know it will be hard, but let these M&M Blondies cool for about an hour before you try to cut them.

These M&M blondies are great alone, but they’re even more delicious with a big scoop of vanilla and crushed M&M’s® Crispy candies on top.

Hi!

Are you sure you used dark brown sugar? Mine are a lot darker looking than yours…

Jill, it's been a while since I've made blondies, but dark brown sugar or light brown sugar are both fine. I like the deeper flavor of the dark brown sugar. The color may be affected by your baking time as well.
